CAFTA (Connecticut Academy For The Arts,( www.cafta.info.) will hold its biannual Board of Education Candidate Forum on
Wednesday, October 18th, at 100 Prospect Street. CAFTA is one of the Torrington Public School’s community partners, and this
event is offered every election cycle, for the past 4 cycles, as a chance for the public to question the candidates about relevant
issues. Owen Quinn will moderate the forum this year, as he has in the past. Each candidate will have a chance to make a brief
opening statement, then questions submitted by the audience will be presented to the candidates and each will have a timed chance to respond to every question. The doors will open at 5:30P. M. and the program will begin at 6:00 and end at 8:00. Coffee and doughnuts will follow to give everyone an informal opportunity to follow up on forum topics and to otherwise interact. Questions
about the forum should be sent to cafta.usa@gmail.com.
